Ballymastocker Bay (Fanad Peninsula) Portsalon, Co. Donegal, is a long sandy beach, which stretches for over a mile, on the western shore of Lough Swilly. It stretches from Portsalon to the Knockalla Hills and was once voted second most beautiful beach in the world by readers of a UK newspaper. There is a wonderful view of the bay from the viewing space on the Knockalla mountain. It was also a winner of the Blue Flag Award.
