Marble Hill Beach is a long, golden and beautiful beach.  It is a 1.7 mile loop trail located neards Ards. At high tide it is split into two different sections. The smaller beach which is separated from Marblehill strand as the tide comes in is called Tracarbad which translates as Chariot Beach.

Small watercraft are traditionally kept on and launched from this beach over the summer months, there is a slipway for small boats and moorings for larger boats just off shore. It is generally safe for swimming but at times with an incoming tide a strong offshore current / rip develops at Tracarbad which can catch people out.

Marble Hill is popular with swimmers, surfers, paddlers, and walkers. It is one of Donegal’s many Blue Flag beaches and is rich in wildlife.
