Rathmullan has a long sandy beach (over 3km) and is popular with walkers. It is located on the shore of Lough Swilly in the Fanad Peninsula. Alongside the beach car park is a children’s playground and a sculpture by John Behan commemorating the Flight of the Earls.
Rathmullan was the scene of The Flight of the Earls in 1607 and overlooks Lough Swilly and the Inishowen Peninsula.
